About E-Mailing Us
The Brooklyn College Personal Counseling Program primarily serves Brooklyn College students, staff and faculty. We may
be able to offer some general and referral information to other members of the local community. Please indicate your
college affiliation in your message and
e-mail us at: diana@brooklyn.cuny.edu
Keep in mind that e-mail, while reasonably secure, is
not considered to be absolutely secure and confidential. Unless
encrypted, there is some risk of interception during transmission on
the internet. Please use an e-mail account and content which do not
identify you personally, call, fax or come in person if you wish to
communicate about details which you are concerned to keep absolutely
confidential.
Requests for admissions-related information should be
directed to adminqry@brooklyn.cuny.edu
While we attempt to respond to e-mail messages as promptly as practical, you may
not receive a reply for several days. (No replies are made on weekends and holidays, for example.)
If your situation is an emergency, please call or come to the center during business hours.
Otherwise, call or go to the nearest hospital emergency room. (Kings County Hospital Psychiatric
Emergency Room is at 606 Winthrop Street, 718-245-2310.)
We regret that, because of the volume of messages, we cannot reply to every e-mail from those
who are not affiliated with the college.
You may find counseling helpful. Please consult our brochure on Finding the Right Counselor or Psychotherapist for You.
If you would like more information, come in and speak with a professional
counselor in 0203 James Hall.
All
services are free and confidential.
